Arranca la 14ª edición de la muestra de cine lésbico de Madrid del 21 al 28 de abril celebrando las temporalidades sáficas en espacios como la Sala Berlanga, el Círculo de Bellas Artes, Institut Français y el Goethe-Institut entre otros; coincidiendo todo ello con el día de la visibilidad lésbica.
Organizada desde Fundación Triángulo Madrid, la Muestra de Cine Lésbico apuesta por un espacio para compartir historias, generar debate y construir una sociedad más diversa.
Desde sus inicios, la Muestra de Cine Lésbico de Madrid ha sido un referente en la visibilización de narrativas queer, con un equipo de programación compuesto íntegramente por mujeres y personas no binarias. Su objetivo es fomentar espacios seguros, fortalecer el imaginario colectivo y ofrecer referentes positivos para la comunidad LGBTIAQ+.
“Este festival es más que cine; es una oportunidad para seguir escribiendo nuestras historias, para reivindicar y celebrar nuestras experiencias lésbicas y bisexuales. Un espacio donde otras vidas son posibles y donde todas tenemos voz”, afirman desde el equipo organizador.
Con más de 20 sesiones llenas de emoción, diversidad y talento, la muestra de cine lésbico se convierte en una cita indispensable para todas las personas que buscan un cine que represente la realidad en toda su amplitud y diversidad desde todas las artes y la cultura. Más de 30 cineastas, nunca antes en la Muestra ha habido tantas mujeres (el 99% de la programación) dirigiendo los proyectos que se exhibirán en esta edición.
The 14th edition of the Madrid Lesbian Film Festival kicks off from April 21st to 28th, celebrating Sapphic temporalities in venues such as the Sala Berlanga, the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Institut Français, and the Goethe-Institut, among others; all coinciding with Lesbian Visibility Day.
Organized by Fundación Triángulo Madrid, the Lesbian Film Festival aims to provide a space for sharing stories, generating debate, and building a more diverse society.
Since its inception, the Madrid Lesbian Film Festival has been a leading voice in the visibility of queer narratives, with a programming team composed entirely of women and non-binary people. Its objective is to foster safe spaces, strengthen the collective imagination, and offer positive role models for the LGBTQIA+ community.
“This festival is more than just film; it’s an opportunity to continue writing our stories, to reclaim and celebrate our lesbian and bisexual experiences. A space where other lives are possible and where we all have a voice,” says the organizing team.
With more than 20 screenings brimming with emotion, diversity, and talent, the Lesbian Film Festival has become an essential event for anyone seeking cinema that represents reality in all its breadth and diversity across all arts and culture. More than 30 filmmakers—never before has the Festival featured so many women (99% of the program)—are directing the projects that will be screened this year.
